The Red Hill Award is presented annually in memory of Red Hill, who was an ECAC football official for 29 years. Hill served as the director of the EAIFO Boston Chapter for 12 years. He served as the vice president and the president of the EAIFO, and was responsible for instituting many of the EAIFO policies. Over his career, Hill made numerous contributions to the EAIFO and to the professional and individual development of college football officiating.
